Dale has worked in the fire and medical service for the past 32 years, 30 of which has been with Mesa Fire and Medical Department (MFMD). He is currently a captain/paramedic, but has served in multiple and varied positions and roles during the tenure with MFMD. Dale is most proud of his current role as a peer support coordinator for firefighters, all City of Mesa employees and their families.
For the past 13 years, Dale has worked in and around the behavioral health system representing paramedics, firefighters, police officers and nurses. As the peer support coordinator, Dale helps to find, develop and vet resources for first responders and their families, including treatments for post-traumatic stress disorder, substance abuse, and family support and resiliency programs. Currently, Dale is working with state lawmakers to help create legislation to provide more resources for first responders, their families and our community.
“I believe the best way to help and support an individual is to help and support the community to which they belong.” – Dale Crogan (2024)
Dale’s community begins with his wife, Cindy, and their three wonderful daughters, Ruby (15), Lucy (12), and Ivy (9). Dale hopes to continue to benefit his community through his participation in the non-profit, which is aligned with his values of service to others.
